The first step in beginning a fundraising campaign is to identify what type of program will best suit your group. There are two types of fund-raising programs; Direct Sale Items and Pre-Sale Programs.

Direct Sale Items	Direct Sale items are sold "in hand" directly to the end consumer. This category is primarily comprised of food items such as cases of candy bars, lollipops and meat snacks. The average selling price for most direct sale items ranges from $.50 to $2.00. The benefit of a direct sale type of fundraiser is the ease of selling highly popular items that are able to be immediately enjoyed. A second benefit comes from not having orders to tally or products to deliver after the sale.
Pre-Sale Programs	Pre-Sale programs are ideal for any size of group but are most profitable to larger organizations such as PTA's, PTO's, private, Christian and Catholic schools, etc. Orders are taken ahead of time on two or three part order forms or "order takers" with the funds usually being collected up front. A typical type of pre-sale program would be the popular gift and gift wrap brochures, cookie dough and pie programs and the like. Within a normal two week sale period, orders and monies will be collected and compiled to mail in to our company. Depending on the type of services available from the pre-sale program selected, the goods will arrive back at your location within a three to four week time period. Many brochure type sales provide a complete pack-for-student type service which allows for all of the items to arrive pre-packaged individually by student or seller and in master cartons by sponsor, teacher or homeroom. Profit percentages vary according to the overall gross sales volume and the type of program selected.
